A splendid publication dedicated to Robert Capa (1913-1954), which allows you to deepen
a little-known aspect of his work, namely the relationship with the world of cinema.
The volume documents all the main experiences of the work of the Hungarian, naturalized
American photographer: life in Paris, the Spanish Civil War, the war between China and Japan,
the Second World War up to the landing in Normandy.
The Russia of the Soviets after World War II, the birth of the state of Israel and the
conflict in Indochina, where Capa died prematurely in 1954. Inside the book catalog there
is a text by Italo Zannier dedicated to the photographer and an essay by the film critic
Lorenzo Codelli who talks about his activity in the cinema sector. In fact, Capa not only
experimented with the camera in the production of several documentaries, but he was also
a still photographer, frequenting the sets of famous films.
