Rare German dress bayonet with engraving "In memory of my military service"
Splendid German free exit bayonet, called "dress bayonet", was worn with the Waffenrock
uniform during parades or on free exit in the pre-war period. This bayonet has a further peculiarity as it is engraved on both sides and not as
usual on one side. In fact, the official engravings, about 6/7 models that were proposed
by the manufacturers were on one side only, in this case the specification of the
department to which the client belongs was added. The Panzer Abw.Abt 24 was created in 1935 with the Anti-tank Artillery Battalion within
the 24th Infantry Division, in 1940 it became Panzerjäger abteilung 24
