Interesting prototype dagger for Balilla by the firm Fratelli Turco Napoli

Very interesting piece, "jumped" out of the Fratelli Turco warehouse in Naples together
 with a certain number of avant-garde knives; in practice it is an avant-garde knife 
(commonly and erroneously called da Balilla) but of reduced dimensions with a rounded 
tip and a dull blade.

There is no period evidence that can support the thesis of the prototype of a pocketknife
 for Balilla, I remember that the so-called da BALILLA was not for the Balilla but for 
the Young Fascists/Avant-Gardes, but the workmanship is such that it suggests it.

After all, the whole of the twenty years was characterized by companies which, on orders 
from the Fascist Party or on their own initiative, produced objects for the armed forces 
or for the PNF, in this case being the only piece found in the warehouses it is certainly 
something that " could have been" but which then did not go ahead in production because 
it was not adopted
