Assault Glider Regia Aeronautica
Assault Glider Regia Aeronautica.
The history of this department is incredible, a little opposed at the beginning, on the occasion of the hypothesis of an invasion of the island of Malta, it was re-evaluated, developed and promoted. It was never a combat unit, although the name Aliantisti d Assalto led to believe it and only 11 patents were issued during the war.
Dissolved in 1943, it was then reconstituted in 1944 by the will of Capt. Mantelli and definitively dissolved in April 1945
This badge does not yet have a precise location, there are three hypotheses: the first obviously that it was produced for the first 11 patents, the second that it could have been produced during the RSI and obviously the last that it is a reducistic badge.
At present, only three are known
