Metal frieze for tropical helmet 11 Regiment Grenadiers of Sardinia

It was established on 12 October 1936 in implementation of circular letter no. 23480/356 of 6 October,
 at the depot of the 2nd Regiment "Granatieri di Sardegna" under command, three Grenadier regiments, 
a battery of 65/17 accompanying weapons. The new unit is assigned to the "Granatieri di Savoia" Division 
flanked by the 10th Grenadier Regiment and the 60th Artillery Regiment for d.f. and destined for
 the garrison of Addis Ababa.

In 1938 the II battalion, under the command of Capt. Crescenzio Arcamone, was detached from the Regiment
 to participate in the operations of the "large colonial police" in the Debr Sina area and in the Ancoberino area.
 In August 1938, the Regiment changed its personnel by replacing the III Grenadier Battalion with a Bersaglieri Battalion.

War 1940-43:

1941 - The Regiment was disbanded due to war events on 27 March 1941 after having taken part in the fighting
 at Cheren, on the Eritrean front.
