On June 1, 1944, the trustee of the Fascist Farmers Union was killed in Quattro Castella
 in the hamlet of Roncolo: Alfredo Casotti, born in the village, known to everyone, 
would have turned 50 at the end of the month. That day, around nineteen, he was in the
 courtyard of the house with his father Domenico. Suddenly two killers came out of nowhere
 and killed him with revolvers. They knew how to aim well because the bullets did not
 even graze the parent.
