Bronze medal commemorating the War Volunteers of Italian East Africa (A.O.I.).

It was awarded to Italian fighters in the East African Campaign between 1935 and 1936. The obverse design depicts a naked volunteer with a gladius and shield, supported by Victory. The engraver is Morbiducci for the Johnson Company of Milan. The associated ribbon is usually crimson with central blue and black stripes.
