Beautiful GOGLIARDO or felucca da universitaroi, the medical student in Padua applied 
various trinkets on the Gogliardo among which a rare university medgalia coined in 1948
commemorating the 1st centenary of the revolt of the students and the people against
the Austrians. Padua was one of the first cities in Italy to kick off the riots of '48 precisely on
February 8 of that year, the day on which Paduan students and citizens rebelled against
the Austrian rulers, giving rise to the first movement of revolt. The Bo revolt
anticipated the 5 days of Milan and the Venetians, in the Risorgimento, played a decisive
role not only with Daniele Manin's Republic of Venice, but also with an elite opinion
movement that espoused Cavour's ideals, Mazzini and Garibal
