This is a dagger called Eagle Head M32 which does not yet have a definite location.
In fact overseas it is known as the M32 by Petty Officer 1st type and the difference
between the normal M32 as an Officer lies in the fact that this version brings the beam
into the recessed handle completely smooth.
Cesare Calamandrei in his publications has never wanted to take it into consideration
but this model is known for several pieces scattered in the Italian and American collections.
I myself have had 8 !!!!
Some of these daggers were found not with the classic M32 short sheath but with the sheath
of the dagger for the San Marco, we do not know why we do not know yet what it actually is
and for whom it was intended.
Another peculiarity of this dagger is that, unlike the m32 Officer, the black sheath is in
matte black paint while the classic officer's one is a glossy black or is burnished in any
case in a shiny bluing.
