The medal in question, or the proof of minting, is the medal given to the participants
in the Federal Camp for Pre-Military and Graduated Instructors of the GIL named after Lino Balbo,
a camp that took place in Porto Garibaldi in 1941, fell with his uncle Italo Balbo about a year.

Arcangelo Balbo, known as Lino (Lugo di Romagna, 18 September 1909 - Tobruch, 28 June 1940), was
an Italian journalist and politician.
Son of Fausto, brother of Italo Balbo, he lost his father at the age of two and went to live with
his uncle, who became his tutor. Having obtained his license as an accountant in 1926, he enrolled
as a volunteer and was sent to the official pupil school of Verona, where he arrived on 10 September;
there he was assigned at his request to the Alpine specialty.
On the eve of the Second World War, his uncle Italo, governor general of Libya since 1934, brought
him close and, as a volunteer, Lino was recalled on behalf of the Ministry of the Royal Air Force
and made available, maintaining rank and body, of the headquarters , then located in Derna.
From here on the afternoon of June 28, 1940 (a few days after Italy's entry into the war) he took a
seat with his uncle and other military personalities on board a plane for a planned reconnaissance
and inspection of the Italian lines, finding his death there together with the joint over the skies
of Tobruk following the officially involuntary shooting down by the Italian anti-aircraft land line.
