Arditi d Italia, a very rare Rijeka pennant

Exceptional historical relic!

Pennant in black woolen cloth embroidered with the profile of a skull 
with a knife between the teeth, each silver thread is embroidered individually 
and to simulate the junction points of the parietal bones, the silver threads 
are taken up with stitches. The skull is wrapped in a circle of cutters also 
obtained by the same system of manual work, the threads are then interspersed 
with dots of yellow silk to simulate laurel berries.

On the back the symbol of the Corps of the Arditi, important for defining the 
historical context is that on the guard there are no associations, ANAI or FNAI,
 this places it without a shadow of a doubt from 1917 to 1919.


There are holes and small missing parts of fabric due to the passage of time.
