Commemorative medal for the March of Ronchi - Occupation of Fiume, in an original SIM Italian Medal Society envelope.
The medal was instituted by Gabriele d'Annunzio immediately after the occupation of Fiume, modeled by the sculptor Adolfo De Carolis. The medal was awarded to the Legionaries who took part in the March of Ronchi and who arrived in Fiume, to the crew of the ship "Cortellazzo" that arrived in Fiume, and to all those who took part in the fighting from December 24 to 28, 1920, "Bloody Christmas."
