Extremely rare Piedmontese buckle for the Royal Navy Infantry Corps.

The buckle in question, extremely rare to find, is published on page 211 of the book "The Royal Navy Infantry Corps 1861-1878." The distinctive feature of this corps, the forerunners of the San Marco Marine Infantry Battalion, was that they wore a uniform copied from the Bersaglieri Corps; in fact, they wore a plumed headdress virtually identical to that of the Bersaglieri.
