Burma Star Medal (Star of Burma), a British military decoration instituted in 1945 to commemorate service during the Second World War. In the centre it features the royal monogram "GRI" (Georgius Rex Imperator) with the imperial crown above and the inscription "VI" below, indicating the reign of King George VI. The medal is in the shape of a six-pointed star in bronze and was awarded for service in Burma between 1941 and 1945. The lot includes three miniatures, in addition to the miniature of the Burma Star there are the 1939 1945 Star and the Atlentic Star.
