The British Victory Medal of the First World War 1914 1919

The British Victory Medal of the First World War, recognizable by the inscription "The Great War for Civilization 1914–1919" surrounded by a laurel wreath. Established in 1919, it celebrated the Allied victory in the First World War. Designed by William McMillan, it features the winged figure of Victory on the obverse (not visible in the photo) and the inscription on the reverse. It was awarded to those who had served in the armed forces in a theater of war between 1914 and 1919.
