German M40 WH single-decal helmet.
The helmet is a complete M40 WH helmet. The original WH eagle is approximately 65% intact, the chin strap is original, and the interior is original. It features a curiously hand-painted tricolor on the side. The work is particularly meticulous; I'd say it was done a long time ago, but I certainly believe it was done post-war by a collector who wanted to improve the condition of his helmet. I therefore consider the tricolor not to be period-specific, and not wanting to risk ruining the helmet, I didn't try to remove it. The helmet is therefore being sold as a normal M40 single-decal.
