Lot consisting of double war wound certificate and war wounded badges
€290.00
No tax
Interesting lot consisting of two war wound certificates, black and silver rank,
awarded to the same soldier for the same war action on two distinct dates.
The first award or the black grade wound was granted to him "on the field" "im faithful"
on July 12, 1940, the second, again for the same action of war, he received on May 30, 1940,
was awarded in Hospital on June 13, 1941 and is the silver grade; it is possible that
there has been an aggravation of the physical conditions that have led to an increase
in the value of the decoration.
Furthermore, in the first certificate he carries the degree of "schutzen", in the second
certificate he was promoted to Gefreiter, it is possible that due to the injuries sustained
in action he also received an Iron Cross and promotion to rank.
On the web I found his "death notice", he is reported to have died in combat in Russia in 1942,
Bol-Treschtschewka
Treschtschewka, in the data reported by the site from which I found the "death notice " is still "schutzen"
but in 1941 it was already Obergefreiter.
