Indro Montanelli took the liberty of writing an incredible pamphlet titled "The Good Man Mussolini" in 1946, while the war was still raging. The founder of Il Giornale imagines receiving Mussolini's will from a country priest. This rhetorical device allows Montanelli, through the narrator of the dying Duce, to tell some truths that would otherwise have been difficult to trace in that particular historical situation.
